How BlogExplosion can 'explode' traffic to your blog

Update: April 23 2012: Blog Explosion probably has been shut down as all links to them leads to error message "503 Service Unavailable".

Note: AdSense users please read update at the bottom of the post.

You spend all night setting up your very own blog, but in short time you realize nobody is coming to read it. Furthermore now that you have a blog what do you do next?

That's where BlogExplosion comes in. Imagine joining a blogging community where people can find and read your blog, get your blog reviewed or even chat with other bloggers all around the world!

Whether you like to talk about politics, business, your wedding, family or simply enjoy sharing your life experiences on your blog with other people BlogExplosion is a great way to expand the number of people that read your blog!

You can get more traffic to your blog via BlogExplosion in different ways. For every two blogs you visit via BlogExplosion, another will visit your blog. So the more you surf, the more visitors will visit your site. Remember to add a Visitor Counter (click "BACK" button to get back to this page) to your blog so that you can see the visitors coming in.

There is also a referral system for BlogExplosion whereby you will be given a link or a banner and people who join via that link, a portion of their traffic will be added to yours. This referal system is 4 levels deep, so a portion of the traffic generated by others who join through the person you referred to BlogExplosion will also be added to yours too. Also, you can add a MyBlogDirectory to your site, and when others want to be listed in your (and other's) directory (and BlogExplosion's directory) joined via MyBlogDirectory will also be added to your referrals .

To read more about MyBlogDirectory, and how MyBlogDirectory can increase traffic to your blog, see "How to make a blog directory for your blog".

Update: I have an AdSense account, and I have been hearing reports of people getting their account suspended without being given the reasons for the suspension. So, being careful, I contacted AdSense Help about using a traffic exchange like BlogExplosion. Their reply was not specific, just that we have to be careful and that the responsibility lies with us. I have since stopped using BlogExplosion for sites which have AdSense ads. There are others who are of opinion that it is OK to use BlogExplosion. You decide for yourself or you may want to seek clarification from AdSense Help Center yourself or from other AdSense users at the Google AdSense Help group.

  1. Hi Peter- thanks for the advanced warning. I don't yet have adsense on my blog, as I just started it a few months ago and am just building the traffic now. I'm finding your site very useful and easy to follow. Thanks for your help!

  4. I don't use adsense. The whole thing seemed fishy to me. I have no idea what profits they are making off my blog, and what percent I'd make.

Thanks for your help and tips.

  6. Thanks Peter. I am also new to Blogger and dont even understand the adsense thing..it doesnt 'makesense' to me how they make money from it. I just think its a way of 'them' watching what we post etc. Think 1984 and Big Brother. I dont trust it.

  7. Peter, I've been running AdSense ads for a few months and have been visiting Blog Explosion. So far, no problems (or real income).

I'm impressed with how quickly Google crawlers track my new posts and place content related ads.

I trust Google and their corporate policy of "Do no evil." And I believe they provide a valuable service to searchers and advertisers.

  11. Great information..so is anyone using adsense and Blog Explosion?

I put adsense on my blog and made $1.72 the first day. Now I am scared to "run" Blog Explosion for fear of getting my account suspended.

  12. The problem is that often, except for very clear case like autosurf program, click exchange sites, AdSense don't seem to want to be very specific. Suggest you write to them at the link I provided at the update in this post. I think I will write to them again myself.

  13. Hi ,
    I have designed a blog .

    www.bangaloreonthemove.blogspot.com

I have put two adsense for content (text only), one adsense search, and adsense for content (image only). Could you tell me the limitations of the number of ads I can place in one page?

    ReplyDelete
  14. you can put maximum 3 text or image ad unit, 1 link unit, and 6 text or button links on any one page.

  15. But I just noticed your question is in a topic about BlogExplosion. If you are an AdSense account holder, use BlogExplosion with care as AdSense is vague about traffic generated from BlogExplosion - whether it is invalid impression or not. See my update.

  19. Hi Kim,

You said you blogged about me or my blog in Hungry Girl but that page was not about me nor my blog nor was there any Active (clickable) links to any of my blogs.

I am afraid you first have to learn about making active (clickable) links as you left a long inactive unbroken post URL in your comment I regret I have to delete it after informing you about it.

You have not understood my requirement to get those BlogExplosion credits (got lots of them to give away now) so I am afraid you will have to go re-read How to get free traffic to your blog.

  20. I've asked once and submitted 2 tickets one that was closed down with no reason.

I've almost 4000 credits on my account on a blog that for some reason is not showing under the add/edit blog section nor is the blog rotating, its pretty much as though it does not exist yet i've all these credits assigned to it.

When I tried to add a new blog there was no option to so instead I opened up a brand new account and started from scratch, the only problem I came across was trying to add my blog as it said it already exists, when in fact it does not exist but I assume the 4000 credits are attached to this ghost blog for some reason, anyway the point is

I started again, i got around the whole blog already existing but ive still almost 4000 credits on my now old account and I cannot transfer the credits myself as they are assigned to this make belief blog.

    Cheers,
    Ed

  22. Hi Peter,
Your blog has been very helpful as I attempt to create a travel blog. I wanted to try out blogexplosion to increase my traffic prior to adding Adsense etc. I signed up with blogexplosion using your referral link, but I can't seem to find information about how I can earn credits and what I can do with the credits. When I look at the FAQ or try to find out additional information, there seems to be an error. Any explanation you can provide would be useful. I also put a link to your blog in my list of links.
    Thanks,
